Our Identity, Values and Scientific Network

#Ecologja is a Non-Profit Network established in the legal form of a Network Contract with Legal Subjectivity. The project was born in Milan in July 2022 from the philanthropic initiative of the founding partners Arianet SUEZ and EUROFINS Environ-Lab, together with a group of professionals united by the common goal of safeguarding the future of the planet and protecting “Global Environmental Health”. Our vision is directly inspired by the cardinal principles of the Italian Constitution, in the original Article 32 which protects people’s health, and by Articles 9 and 41, amended in 2022 to raise the protection of the environment, biodiversity and ecosystems to constitutional status, operating with sustainable development criteria also in the interest of future generations.

Our work is guided by a philanthropic spirit and respect for the ethical and moral code that we share and borrow in full from the Mario Blacks Institute of Pharmacological Research. We support the independence of research from any ideological, political or religious filter, placing our multidisciplinary skills at the service of the community and not subordinating the dissemination of knowledge to commercial logic.

The strength of the network lies in an integrated approach according to the international scientific paradigm One Earth – One Health, which recognizes how human, animal and ecosystem health are inextricably linked. To translate this principle into objective analyses and 360-degree evaluations, we activate unique synergies between doctors, toxicologists, epidemiologists, modelers and jurists through elective scientific collaborations in research applied to production activities.

Specifically, our technical-scientific excellence is articulated through four institutional pillars:

  • The  Environmental and Health Monitoring Plans, developed by the ArianetSuez and EurofinsEnvironlab Working Group, coordinated by the general manager#ecologja Marco Lodi;
  • The toxicological approach, developed in collaboration with the Working Group of the Environment and Health Department of the Mario Blacks Institute, coordinated by Dr. Emilio Benfenati;
  • The epidemiological approach, entrusted to the EPIMED Research Center of the University of Insubria under the guidance of Prof. Giovanni Veronesi;
  • The legislative and regulatory aspects, handled by the Environment Working Group of the Salvemini Law Firm, coordinated by Prof. Leonardo Salvemini..

Choosing #ecologja means relying on a unique partner in the environmental landscape: an institution legitimized by the excellence of applied scientific research and structured to offer concrete and rigorous answers to protect public and environmental health.
